Enterprise Data Manager for Aprimo Marketing is designed to preprocess data before it is propagated to your Aprimo audience member or company database. By cleansing and standardizing data values in the important identifying attribute fields, better database integrity is maintained and the capabilities of Aprimo's match/merge logic are enhanced to better identify existing records, and thereby minimize the insertion of duplicate records in your audience member or company tables.

Enterprise Data Manager has been designed to manage the cleansing and standardization of data elements that are necessary for properly maintaining contact, prospect, customer, and other types of marketing data.

Not only does Enterprise Data Manager address cleansing and standardization across the important identifying attribute fields, it also allows for complete user control of how data is manipulated based upon an individual client's own business rules.

Enterprise Data Manager also provides powerful tools that allow for the contents of one field in the import record to be used to derive and auto-populate the contents of another field. These tools can be used in many ways to enhance data: such as reading the contents of a job title field and using the value to auto-populate related fields like "job function code" and "department code;" or reading address fields and assigning a "sales territory."

Enterprise Data Manager is called from the standard interface Aprimo provides for a "data cleanser" and can be called from any Aprimo import data source. This includes inbound forms (pre-populated & anonymous), email processing, XML Gateway data sources, and batch audience member of company import data sources. For records imported through third party interfaces that modify the Aprimo Marketing database directly, we recommend the simultaneous use of our Web Services or Contact to Company Match solutions.
